How to make Chickweed Leaf Tea

Ingredients

  • 1-2 teaspoons of dried Chickweed leaves (or a handful of fresh Chickweed leaves)
  • 1 cup of fresh, filtered water
  • Optional: sweetener (honey, sugar), lemon, or other herbs for added flavor

Instructions

  1. Boil Water:

    • Bring 1 cup of fresh, filtered water to a boil.
  2. Prepare Chickweed:

    • Measure out 1-2 teaspoons of dried Chickweed leaves or a handful of fresh Chickweed leaves.
  3. Steep:

    • Place the Chickweed leaves in a tea infuser or directly into a cup.
    • Pour the boiling water over the Chickweed leaves.
  4. Steeping Time:

    • Let the tea steep for 10-15 minutes. The longer it steeps, the stronger the flavor and potential benefits.
  5. Strain:

    • If you used loose leaves, strain the tea into a cup. If using an infuser, simply remove it.
  6. Optional Additions:

    • Add sweetener, lemon, or other herbs to taste if desired.
  7. Serve:

    • Enjoy the tea hot. You can also let it cool and serve it as an iced tea.
