  • 1 cup of water
  • Optional: Sweetener (e.g., honey, sugar, or a sweetener of your choice)
  • Optional: Spices or flavorings

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Dried Manjistha Root:

    • Start by measuring 1-2 teaspoons of dried Manjistha root per cup of tea you plan to make.

    • In a saucepan, bring 1 cup of water to a boil.
  3. Add Manjistha Root:

    • Once the water is boiling, add the dried Manjistha root to the saucepan.
  4. Simmer:

    • Reduce the heat to low, cover the saucepan with a lid, and let the Manjistha root simmer in the hot water for about 5-10 minutes. This allows the active compounds in the root to infuse into the water.
  5. Strain the Tea:

    • After simmering, turn off the heat and strain the tea to remove the Manjistha root pieces. You can use a fine mesh strainer or a tea infuser for this purpose.
  6. Sweeten and Flavor (Optional):

    • If you prefer your tea sweet, add your sweetener of choice to the strained tea. Start with a small amount and adjust to your taste.
    • You can also add spices or flavorings like ginger, cinnamon, or cardamom for added flavor.
  7. Serve:

    • Pour the Manjistha tea into cups or mugs and serve it hot.
